A unique assemblage of six carefully curated cask finishes. Small batch Bourbon casks, Matusalem Oloroso Sherry casks, Madeira casks, Marsala casks, Port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques – all are exquisitely married, creating a one-of-a-kind whisky with a rich and enticing flavor profile.
To produce this gorgeous blend that is the Dalmore King Alexander III, Richard Paterson (a master distiller) selected his own range of malts with different ages in a combination of French wine casks, Sherry butts, Madeira drums, Marsala barrels, Bourbon barrels and Port pipes. A striking feat of blending and delicious!
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Red berry fruits and hints of passion fruit.
Palate: Citrus zest, vanilla pod, crème caramel, and crushed almonds.
Finish: Cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
