Watermark Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

WaterMark Wine is a small under-the-radar boutique winery run by long time Napa Valley based vintner Phil Steinschriber and his wife Diane. For 30+ years Phil was also a winemaker at Diamond Creek Vineyards, crafting some of the most coveted Cabernet Sauvignons in the Napa Valley.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder opens with Black Forest cake, espresso and cedar chest scents over notes of blackcurrant cordial, blueberry compote and licorice with a waft of lavender. The palate is medium to full-bodied with generous black fruit and a firm, fine-grained texture, finishing long and layered.

This is a big aromatic cabernet sauvignon which enters sweet and concentrated. Dark raspberry, chocolate, and vanilla tickles the tongue, with a touch of coconut and toasted oak. A complex full-bodied wine with a long finish that rounds out beautifully with the tannins.
